Book review

This volume examines various interpretations, applications and contradictions of the concept of open regionalism applied in Asia Pacific and Latin America. It analyzes the dynamics of regionalism in times of boom and crises, as well as the systematic competitiveness and regional integration. The publication presents a review of the Uruguay Round commitments on the development process and major problems faced in their implementation. Based on this review, new opportunities and interests of developing countries are considered which might be introduced on regional agreements at a new "Millennium Round".
